Contemporary Water Garden

Just a stone’s throw from Hampstead Heath, this impressive, large home had just been renovated to a very high standard and was in desperate need of an amazing garden to complement it. The garden wrapped around the house and unusually the front garden was just as private as the rear.

The existing garden was cleared and the levels were re-worked to enable a very contemporary reflective pool to span the width of the front garden, creating a grand entrance from the street.

Paved with large porcelain tiles, the front garden was designed to look crisp and modern, whilst the design for the rear garden was more informal with a large rustic style artificial deck and feature planting.

The garden before

Following renovation of the interior of the house, the garden had been left in a mess after being used by the builders as a dumping ground, with lots of channels having been dug out for new services.

During the build

As the front section of the garden was to be tiled, it was vital that a level concrete pad was laid provide a smooth and solid level surface to lay on.
