This large lawned garden, deep in the heart of the Essex countryside, had been landscaped by a local company a year or two previously but the owners felt that it lacked colour and was a bit boring. Fork was called in to add the finishing touches and turn the garden into a festival of colour and texture. We reshaped the existing borders, created a new 60 metre sweeping border along the side of a winding decking pathway and remodelled the pond by changing the shape and creating a proper edge to avoid an existing problem the owners had of pebbles falling in. In total we added over one thousand new perennials and grasses to the new beds. The plants all came direct from the grower so they were tiny when we planted them, but quickly established and gave a magnificent display the following year, giving the garden a host of colour all year through.
